In a support group or with a counslor, people will not judge you or try to tell you what to do. They are there to listen and share feelings and experiences in a confidential setting.

You can click on "SUPPORT" on this site's home page to find a support group near you.  You may also contact the NE Center of Excellence to meet with the social worker for counseling If you do not live in New England go to the national HDSA website www.hdsa.org  to find the closest support group or Center of Excellence near you.   You DO NOT have to go this road alone. Support is all around you.

Fundraiser for JHD

Hello everyone! My name is Jahnnie, and I will be hostessing a put-put tourney in April. The objective is to raise awareness and funding for JHD. Why JHD if HD hits my home? I am a member of alot of sites and talk to alot of people- many people in my every day didn't even know JHD exisited. The blurb about my fundrasier should be hitting the site soon- get exited! I know I am. SAVE the date Saturday April 26, 2008 I will be chatting it up often. Prayers and HOPE to you all

Hi Mike! Sorry it has taken a couple of days to get back to you. The fundraiser is Sat. April 26, 2008 at Mulligan's in Sterling MA. It is a mini-golf tourney for JHD. Details can be found if you click on the mini golf tournament blurb on the homepage here.Also on the national website. WE aren't in need of any entertainment. All are welcome adn it should be alot of fun. You can also email me (BEST way to contact me)- the addy is on the info page. Hope to see you there
