My thesis, plz help me
Posted: 28 Dec 06 12:45 PM
Hi everybody, I’m doing a thesis on HD and I would be thrilled if you would be so kind to answer some of these questions. I’m really desperate on this one, I haven’t found a single patient in nursing homes or neurological hospitals that fits the HD-analysis. I need subjects who are related to a person diagnosed with HD (both familial as close circle) or the person himself who is diagnosed with HD. Other responses are welcome too ofcourse. My mother is diagnosed over 5 years now with HD and she is the only patient so far in my region here in Belgium, but I cannot interview myself nor my dad or any other family-member due to the rules of my thesis. Herein lies a great part of my motivation to deal with this subject and also to get to know a large part of HD and the amazing people coming in contact with it. My biological mother has HD and therefor I too have a great chance to develop HD on a later stage. If ANYONE would be so kind to answer my questions you would be helping out a lot! Lots of thanks in advance. PS: None of the questions are obligated to fill in, but please fill in as much as you personally can. Of course all answers and arguements will be taken strictly confidential and not spread out. All information will remain between me and my professor. You can always contact me on my e-mail adress if you dont want to spill it out on the forums or if you have any questions concerning my thesis. It is kefke88@hotmail.com 1) What is your relacionship towards the person diagnosed with HD? 2) How long has the person been identified with HD or showing the symptoms? 3) At what age did the HD really burst through? 4) At what age were the symptoms accually visible? 5) Did the diagnosed person notice it or was it a normal habbit, those symptoms? 6) At which centres or nursing homes was the person submitted? 7) How are you dealing with that person, do you treat him/her different now? 8) What are the most important symptoms according to you? 9) Do you have any information to add to this? 10) Do you feel guilt or shame when needed to talk about this subject?
